Made to fit. Send a photo.
Odd tool, odd drawer, or a box nobody makes inserts for? Lay your tools on an A4 sheet, send one photo, and we design an exact-fit tray — a pocket and finger-scoop for every tool — in tough PETG, made to order in Sydney.
How it works
01 / PROCESS
- 1
You photograph it
Lay your tools flat on an A4 or US Letter sheet — spaced out, not overlapping — and shoot from directly above. Tell us the box or drawer they live in.
- 2
We trace & design
The paper is our ruler: we scale the photo off the known sheet size, then model an exact-fit tray with a pocket and finger-scoop for every tool.
- 3
We quote & you approve
You get an exact price and a preview before anything prints. No obligation — approve it and we go, or tweak it first.
- 4
We print & post it
Made to order in tough PETG, in your colour, posted fast from Sydney. Add a tool later? We remake it.
Why the A4 sheet matters. A photo has no scale on its own — a socket could be any size. Because an A4 sheet is exactly 210 × 297 mm (US Letter is 216 × 279 mm), we use its edges as a ruler and measure every tool from your photo to the millimetre. No sheet, no scale — so please shoot the tools on the paper. An STL scan works too, and skips this step entirely.

02 / STARTUpload one clear photo of your tools on an A4 sheet — or an STL scan. We design the exact-fit insert and email you a price. You approve, we print, we post.
Shoot it right
03 / THE PHOTOA good photo gets you a better-fitting tray, faster. Thirty seconds of care here saves a back-and-forth.
Do this
- +Lay tools flat on an A4 or Letter sheet, spaced apart so none overlap.
- +Shoot from directly above, phone parallel to the bench — not at an angle.
- +Even light, no harsh shadows. Keep the whole sheet in frame, edges visible.
- +Group tools the way you'd want them in the tray, if you have a preference.
Avoid this
- −Tools overlapping or stacked — we can't measure what we can't see.
- −Shooting at an angle, which distorts sizes and throws off the fit.
- −No paper, or the sheet cropped — we lose the ruler and can't scale it.
- −Blurry, dark, or busy backgrounds that hide the tool outlines.
What we can make
04 / SCOPEIf we can see it and measure it, we can usually print a tray for it.
What it costs
05 / PRICINGEvery tray is quoted before it prints — no surprises. Price depends on size, how many tools, and design time. Most custom trays land in these bands:
Compare: overseas shadow trays run $60–70 plus $20–48 international postage and a 3-week wait. Ours are made to your exact tools, posted fast from Sydney — and if it doesn't fit, we remake it free.
The idea
Foam wears out and generic bins never quite fit. A tray printed to the exact shape of your tools holds everything where you can grab it fast — and because it's made to order, we can make one for a tool nobody else bothers with. Your custom tray can even become a product we offer the next person with the same kit.
