HOT TO PREPARE YOUR FILE FOR THE BEST 3D PRINTING RESULTS
1- THE FILE
Note: If your projects it’s made of different objects, you need to save them independently.
After creating your 3D model, with any CAD modelling software, it is necessary to export every single file in STL or OBJ format;
However, you must remember that during the export phase in STL or OBJ to have selected a suitable resolution. We remind you that the model is converted into a series of triangles called “MESH”. The greater the number of triangles the greater the precision of details.
DO NOT Exaggerate, however, or your file will have a disproportionate size in Mb!
2- BOOLEAN UNION
Make sure that all the parts that make up your object are correctly joined to form a single part. This procedure is commonly called “Boolean union”
3- “WATERTIGHT” MODEL
Your model must be 3D printed, so always make sure it is closed or as we use to say it is … “watertight”
For optimal printing results and correct dimensional accuracy, it is very important to respect our minimum tolerances!!
